ICAM 2002 Conference ReportThe 3rd International Conference on Atomic and Molecular Data and Their Applications (ICAMDATA), which was supported by IUPAP, was held April 24-27, 2002, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The 3rd ICAMDATA was attended by over one hundred participants from fourteen countries. There were thirty invited oral presentations, four panel sessions, and fifty-two poster presentations, representing themes and disciplines such as applications in lighting, astrophysics, and radiation physics as well as atomic and molecular physics and databases and data centers. The ICAMDATA is an ongoing series of meetings that brings together scientists from around the world who produce, collect, evaluate, disseminate, and utilize atomic and molecular data. This forum is intended to facilitate the presentation of recent results in these areas as well as to serve as a conduit for communication among the various specialties concerned with all aspects of the process from creation to use of data. The 4th ICAMDATA will be held in Japan in 2004. |
