C4. Commission on Cosmic Rays

Report 2004

The Commission had no business meeting during 2004. All business was conducted by email. C4 members associated with other Commissions reported at relevant meetings. Input was provided to the C11 Working Group about procedures concerning authorship in large collaborations.

The complete proceedings of the 28 th International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC-28) held in Tsukuba, Japan in August 2003, are published. The preparations for ICRC-29 to take place in Pune, India on 3 – 10 August 2005, have started. ICRC-30 will be arranged in Merida, Mexico in the summer of 2007.

PaNAGIC (Particle And Nuclear Astrophysics and Gravitational International Committee), an inter-Commission committee, reporting to C4, C11, C12 and C19 with primary relation to C4 and a connection to AC2, held its annual meeting at the Neutrino-2004 conference in Paris on 19 June 2004. PaNEGIC membership was partially renewed. Rohini Godbole was proposed as C11 liaison member. A new Chair will be proposed in 2005 to be endorsed at the C4 business meeting in Pune.
